I'm Dr. Xin (Shirley) Tian.  I am the Assistant Professor of Information Technology. I have been at the university for over 10 years.  I have received my Ph.D. degree from Old Dominion University, Virginia in Information Technology and I have taught several IT courses, such as Database Concepts, Information Literacy, Website and Webpage Design and Development, and Principles of Information Technology. I hope my students could be successful in this course and their careers in the future. The interaction between professors and students is so important. It is feasible for me to get insights from the students, and also help me to improve the course. For students, the more interactions and engagements in the class or online, then they perform better.

During the semester, if you have any questions about the course, please do not hesitate to email me through D2L or see me during office hours.

I look forward to communicating with you.
